I was originally super excited to have this tool. It looks amazing and feels really good in the hand. The knife and gut hook are both extremely sharp from the factory and I wanted the high quality blade steel in the knife and cutting blades. That being said, this tool is a huge letdown. First and foremost, the tool's folding mechanism is badly made. As pictured: The tip of the needle nose gets caught on the medium screwdriver and both gouges the pliers and wedges itself making it very difficult to fold and close the pliers. I got two pairs of pliers (the first had so much play in the pivot point that the cutters were unusable) and they were both like that. I had hoped the first pair was a special case but was sadly mistaken.Aside from that glaring issue, there were a handful of small things that I wouldn't expect to be in a $150 Leatherman tool:-The screws holding the tool together were finger tight and lacked any retaining compound-The blades (primarily the knife and gut hook) have enough side to side play that they scrape the side of the tool when closing them-The tool came covered in black dust on every surface and crevice-The pocket clip came deformed and unusable-The wrong sheath was includedI was very disappointed in the overall experience and felt scammed by paying $150 for a tool that very clearly lacks any Quality Control and attention to detail. Maybe after a few more months in the design lab it will be worth its hefty price tag, but it's definitely not worth it right now.I love this leatherman. I never realized how much I would use one until I had one. I prune plants with the scissors, use the hook blade to cut twine off of straw bales, phillips screwdriver almost daily, fixed my compass with the file, and the list goes on. It's not as big as the Surge (whichi s why i like it), but has everything I could want except an awl and the scissors are small. The tradeoff is that the blade is better steel than the Surge.I actually like the way this feels in my hand. I’m definitely considering a charge plus. Unfortunately the one I received the file rubs against the inside edge when you open and close it. There was black oxide on the edge of the file from the rubbing. I do not see a way to adjust this… so I returned it. I think this should have been caught in quality control. This Multitool is part of my EDC. It does it all. I travel a lot and move a lot, so toolboxes are not often available (never). But with the Charge Plus, I am all set! I am a nomad and my residence is whaterever airbnb I am in the moment, and I usually stay 3 to months ate a location. And to make my stay more confortable, I find myself buying one or 2 pieces in IKEA that I need for my work. Assembling IKEA furniture with this multitool is eons better than the tools included. Also, very useful for dealing with my tech gear, fixing tripods, light fixtures, etc. I have this one now for 2 years, and that's exactly what it is: A multitool that works and is solid. After reading all the gushing reviews, I thought that maybe there was an upgrade for my beloved LEATHERMAN, FREE P4 Multitool with support for screwdriver bits. Not in my humble opinion - not even close. You can read the other reviews for what people like. Here are the reasons (all subjective) I sent it back after 10 minutes of evaluation.1. Feels lighter, cheaper, less strong than the Free P42. The main blades are shorter and feel less sturdy.3. The "bits" provided are small hex & Torx drivers I would rarely/never use. Look carefully at the provided image - I didn't. And, the bits are a non-standard shape. I assumed they used standard 1/4" tips - not without buying a bit extender.4. The various blades and tools are harder to open (some require fingernails - which I have). Much less straightforward than the Free P4's.SUMMARY: it's a nice multi-tool, but not great, certainly not for the price. I hold the Free P4 up as the best one I've encountered yet.I have a couple of dozen of leatherman tools... this would be among the.. best!!My first multitool -- not counting a little Swiss knife I've had forever. Very stiff to operate at first, but it should loosen up after I apply a little oil and begin to use it. It feels good in the hand and has a useful set of tools. At first I wasn't sure I'd every use the micro-screwdriver, but then realized it could serve as a tiny pry tool for installing split rings on camera lugs, etc. The pliers are not the spring-loaded type, but that's fine with me. At the base of the pliers are replaceable wire cutters. All the fold-out tools are locking, and the locks are well designed. Construction is excellent, although the file blade was not centered, so it scrapes the interior. The nylon sheath has a nice snap closure instead of velcro, and there is an elastic band on each side, where I've stored the Leatherman bit extender and a tiny flashlight (both were additional purchases). Inside there is a rear pocket to stash the included bit tray, which comes with 6 flat-type bits and has slots for 4 more. The sheath has a sturdy belt loop. Also in the package were a pocket clip and a lanyard loop, neither of which I installed. Altogether a very good product. It's not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for.I love this little multi tool. The price drove me off at first bit having owned other multi tools in the past, I now see why this one is more expensive than most. It's just worth it. It outperforms every other multi tool I own by far. And I now reach for it first when doing just about any job around the house. The interchangeable driver bits alone are worth the price. Not to mention the extra attachments available for purchase. When combined with the driver extension bar, the ratchet driver extension, and the extra bits available for purchase. We'll it truly becomes an all in one tool. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. After owning Victorinox SwissTool RS for past ten years and previously owned leatherman Wave, I researched for 2 months before purchasing Leatherman charge plus from Amazon (Netrush Canada). As always, product arrived in well protected box along with partner leatherman micra. Delivery and packaging was flawless. Charge Plus comes with pocket clip, lanyard ring, comprehensive bit set, upgraded condura sheath/pouch with snap closure + two side elastic bands to hold either flashlight (index finger size) or bit extension. Sheath is vertical only carry but it is absolutely well made and seems as durable as my victorinox sheath which still looks perfect at ten years. Once on my hand, Charge Plus is nicely sized (smaller than swisstool) and texture on the aluminum external shell is smooth yet provides more grip than smooth polished steel I have on my swisstool. One of the reason why I chose Charge Plus is the immediate access to the blades, file, and saw. This is where good thing and bad thing started. 154CM steel is used in Charge Plus. Even though it's not considered super steel used in many high end knives (such as 20cv, CTS-XHP, M390, S35 & S45, and elmax), it is far better than typical 420hc used on most of leatherman and other multitool. It's not the best rustproof steel either so you DO need to take care of it much like 420hc. However it holds its keen edge very well. I should say, for daily use, stropping once a week shall be sufficient for keeping a razer sharp edge for a very long time. This blade is either secondary or backup knife. Only problem with the blade is that it came with absolutely terrible grind that actually made a blade "warped" just before the belly of the blade, nearer to the handle area where the straight edge. The grind of the knife was too aggressively sharpened thus caused knife to look much like slight kukri. There is about 4% of knife angled upward instead of straight. I know leatherman warranty will cover this problem but I would probably use it for a while until the major issue happens before sending it in for warranty. It looks weird and I can't believe how this passed their quality control. But it got through and ended up on my hand. Oh well...Second reason I made this purchase was because of serrated blade with hook blade for cutting seatbelt or any other fibrous materials. It is one of the best tool yet I wish they beefed up the tip area where I can foresee some stress fracture if used with great force which is the case when it should be used under stressful environment. Plier is great and we'll made. It's not a heavy use multitool. It is considered medium/standard sized multitool that will do edc purposes. For any other heavy use, I would consider my swisstool or Leatherman surge/super tool 300. Another problem discovered is that Plier is very (I mean Very) stiff. This is to be further updated after next 4 weeks of use but it is quite stiff and in order to offset the pivot, I can't do it this have to send it to leatherman. Like previously mentioned plain blade, I will use it for next four weeks and see if it will get smoother. Plier teeth looks great, cutter made with 154cm is great, and tolerance of the tip is perfect. All other tools are a bit stiff to open but upon closer observation, those phospher bronze washers should work itself to smooth things out with time.My only upsetting moment was with the pain blade with its cutting surface extremely unevenly ground, causing warp that is visually and functionally imperfect straight out of box. Do I want to send it in to leatherman right after I got the product? I don't want to send my brand new tool to leatherman for unknown length of time. Another thing is that blade is definitely scratching on the external aluminium side due to blade not being centered. However since its pivots are not using traditional hex nor torx pivots, its impossible to loosen nor tighten the pivot to adjust the centering of the blade.I just think this is a fantastic tool but I just got unlucky and ended up with a bad batch. I trust leatherman with their impeccable warranty but qc at leatherman is not quite up to my expectations. All in all, this is a great multitool that everyone should try. I have pictures for your reference and size comparison to my long long time beloved hinderer XM-18 3.5 on the left, charge plus in the middle, and Victorinox swisstool rs on the right. Like other two tools (knife is a tool), I hope to use Charge Plus for next ten plus years. As much as I recommend Victorinox, I would recommend Leatherman Charge Plus if you look for upgrade to wave or skeletool.Creo que es la mejor multiherramienta que hay. Para mí tiene las herramientas necesarias, las herramientas son bloqueables, la navaja lisa es de mejor acero y lo mejor son las cachas de aluminio. Hacen todo la diferencia del mundo contra la Wave. Esta se siente mucho más cómoda en la mano. Si están pensando en la Wave y tienen la posibilidad si vale la pena el brinco. La calidad en general de Leatherman es garantía.For the relatively high price, I assumed that this would be a nice tool.It is even better that I expected. It is both sturdy and elegant. All the mechanisms function perfectly and smoothly. The tool selection is perfect for my needs. The tools themselves work very nicely.Love it. It’s what you expect. The main blades are sharp and/or effective. The fiddly accessories are what they are......not ideal but that’s why we carry it. Can’t carry a full toolbox on yer hipAccording to price, quality of products is not upto the mark.... Don't know wether the product is original or fake.. it's ok let see how much will it last
