My Leatherman Skeletool arrived about a week ago, and after using it I have a few thoughts. First, it arrived very stiff. Much stiffer (in terms of opening) than an average folding knife. Opening the knife blade one-handed was honestly a chore at first, and abraded my thumb aggressively until the action began to loosen up, which took maybe 2 or 3 days of playing with it. The hole used to open the blade is effective, but not exactly comfortable. Again, coming from my experiences with folding knives, I think I would have preferred a thumb stud rather than a hole. However, as I said, after working the action repeatedly (100+ times), opening the blade has become much easier. Just keep in mind, again, this is never going to quickly flip out like a combat folder. But then, that's not it's purpose. The pliers are rugged and effective. I have no complaints there. The screwdriver, however, is a bit of a disappointment. Leatherman's insistence on using their own proprietary "squashed" format of screwdriver heads is obnoxious. In using the included Phillips head, it is clear that because of the squashed format, you have to use it more carefully, as the possibility of slippage and stripped screws is increased. To end on a positive note, the ability to clip this device on a belt loop is phenomenal. My pockets are often too full to carry this (not exactly tiny) tool, and I didn't want to keep it in a sheath. It's really very easy to unclip it from a belt loop and deploy a tool within moments.Overall this was a good purchase, and I don't regret it. If you need only a few tools from a well-known and respected brand, and especially want a quality blade at hand (I opted for the upgraded steel CX version, which arrived VERY sharp), this is a good option.
