it's basically the same as the MP400, but with two knives, and it's slightly bigger and heavier. i think i prefer the 400 for EDC b/c it's lighter and scissors/single knife is a more versatile combination for me (cyclist/schoolteacher).Below are my thoughts (from the 400 review) about why cheap-but-quality multiools are the way to go: this tool is right on that price point between reasonably decent quality and cheap junk...but it's perfect! why? well, multitools, you carry them around. you use them a lot. and you almost never use the screwdriver as a screwdriver, yeah? it's always a pry bar or a chisel or a skeleton key for an old door...and eventually you'll bend, break, chip or otherwise ruin it. so why spend $100+ on a super-nice multitool and bend the driver the first time you use it (yep...i've done that!) get a cheap but quality tool that you can REPLACE when you inevitably break it!that said, my last gerber lasted about 4 years (before i lost it) as opposed to my $100 leatherman, which i broke a tool on immediately (not a commentary on their relative quality, which i'm not qualified to judge, just to say this kind of $*** happens with multitools)and, it comes with a SHEATH! a bargain at $40~
