I didn't know how much I would like this when I bought it. I just always wanted one so I finally broke down and bought one. Now, it never leaves my pocket except when I use it for EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. lolSometimes I look for things to cut or use the tools on just because I want to use it so bad. I think I have a problem. You should buy one and then we can form a tool step group... Leatherman's Anonymous.Hahahaha.But really I need help I want another one now. This knife is a newer version and the blade and tools move smoother in and.In terms of finish and quality of tools, this is one of the best offerings Leatherman has made to date. I love how light it is. I don't wear a belt, so the pocket clip is great. The blade is tough, the tools are very sturdy, and the locking mechanism is rock solid. The problem is that it is COVERED IN POINTY PROTRUSIONS THAT MAKE THE TOOL IMPOSSIBLE TO HOLD COMFORTABLY. It's like it was designed by a computer and not a person with, you know, hands.Because I like the weight, the pocket clip and the tools, I wound up grinding all of the hot spots off with a Dremmel grinding wheel. It's great now, but I feel like I shouldn't have to grind down a $90 tool before I can use it (I had to sharpen the blade too).Hand feel has never been a problem with the 5 or so Leatherman tools I have owned before this. How did you forget something this basic guys?PSIf you get one of these and want to grind the corners off, TAKE IT APART FIRST! I didn't take mine apart and damaged the finish on the handle.I love this thing. It's clipped into my front pocket every day and has never been anything short of acceptional. I'll be gifting this knife to my closest friends.I had one of these awhile ago, it was a nice grey one that I got from my work. It was a true beater, I had dropped it many times, the clip snagged and became stretched among many things. It's not a Victorinox, it's a Leatherman. It never had let me down and once you get all the parts nice and settled with each other you can flick open the knife easily. I never once thought the knife was loose or had some play. My only complaint is that the tip of the knife is a bit easy to round off. It's very easy to sharpen and keeps a nice edge, the flathead/box-opener is a life-saver too.I bought this one on a whim, in green since that's my favorite color. The finish is fantastic and looks great.Otherwise, this is probably the perfect knife if you're going to be working and need some basic "get me outta this pickle" situations. This knife has all you need in a pocket knife and it looks great, plus not too big. I carry it most in the field but it is handy anywhere. It's ergonomic and sturdy - a bit pricey but it's a Leatherman. I'm very happy with the knife.I am very happy with this knife. I wanted an edc with a good work knife but wanted access to some other tools. This tool works for me. I have biggish hands so I do not mind the pocket clip and I like the ability to clip the knife to my pocket. As a knife it is sturdy, easy to open one handed and sharp. This is now my edc.I carried a fixed blade knife in my waist band for the last several years (ESEE 4, Condor Kephart) but wanted to try my luck with a folder again. After several check-outs and returns, I pulled the trigger on the Free K2X. Although it IS thick, I like it a lot and definitely recommend.I was hoping I would like this knife _even though_ it was thick, but I think I actually like it BECAUSE it is thick. It feels like a very solid, hefty knife in the hand, which is good for a knife this length. I didn't want a knife that felt as light and thin as a hair comb or something, and this thing is a good fit. I keep it in my back pocket next to my wallet, so the thickness might be more of an issue for a front/side pocket wearer. Now, if it was just made super fat with no tools in the handle, it might feel kind of stupid. BUT THERE'S TOOLS! I like having a few extra implements at hand (and ONE hand at that). If you are just looking for a simple box cutter/letter opener, this may not be for you.I like that the blade shape, the overall styling, made in the US and 25 year warranty, but also this thing just feels and operates like a finely machined tool. I don't know what "magnetic locking" means, but this knife is very smooth in all its movements and very secure when locked (both open and closed). There is no play on the blade or tools when opened. The K2X looks and feels like a very well-made, high-quality device that is both handy and good to look at. Definitely recommend.I have been a Leatherman fan for years and carried many of their tools and decided to try out the Free pocket knife. The knife is sturdy, feels good in the hands and the tool and blade operation is smooth.BUT… after my first day of use the blade has massively let me down. I did a few very light duty tasks at work with the blade (cardboard cutting, foam insulation cutting). When I arrived home I attempted to cut open a plastic Amazon bag and the blade wouldn’t do it. After one day of light use the blade is dull, there are chips out of the bottom of the blade and the tip of the blade is dull too.If you’re looking for an EDC pocket knife, skip this one for sure!Because of the tools, the handle is a little thicker, but the beefy handle is good for me, I prefer it to the thinner handles folders usually have. Solid, well built as Leatherman is known for. Came so super sharp, probably one of the sharpest out of the box I have ever bought.Really confused about why the 4th photo shows scissors but the rest don’t. Are there 2 different K2 models? The one I got does not have scissors. Looked at other places online and there are also pics with scissors. Not listed in the tool list though.Bastante sobrio y útil, lo que se espera de la marca.
