Super happy with this purchase. I put it off for a while because leatherman tools aren't cheap, but I'm glad I stuck to my guns and bought quality. Spent a few days on my off-grid property and used this thing like crazy. Did a lot of wiring, gardening, fence mending, and some building. Used it constantly including the pliers, wire cutters, the knife (and so glad its shaped like a utility blade) the serrated knife, and the little saw on my fruit trees, both screwdriver bits (which worked better than my actual screwdrivers) the awl, can opener, the needle nose, the hammer end. The needle nose are also better than my standard pliers, as well.I'm especially happy to have a fire striker and a sharpener built in. Having fire and a way to keep a knife sharp are absolutely the most important survival tools. I've seen some complain that the flint is soft and so it wont last forever and that the sharpener is not the best. But not having either compared to always having those with you is incalculable. Anyone who's actually been in a survival scenario knows what I mean. It takes a HUGE amount of calories and energy to start a friction fire; I've done it a lot. Having a ferro rod saves energy when energy is worth it's weight in gold, about as valuable as fire.
